Course Registration

New students

New to Inver Hills? Apply to the college and register through either:

• the general admission process (includes attendance at an orientation session).
• limited enrollment (a restricted registration option for students who just want to take a class or two).

Current/returning students

If you are currently registered or have attended Inver Hills in the past, you should register online. Students who have registered only through limited enrollment status, see credit and registration restrictions under limited enrollment described in the Admissions section.

Visiting MnSCU Students

Inver Hills Community College is a member of the Minnesota State Colleges and Universities (MnSCU) system. Students who are admitted at another system college or university may register for courses at Inver Hills as a visiting student.  To learn more about registering for courses at Inver Hills as a visiting MnSCU student, click here.

Registration Dates

The college's academic calendar indicates important dates for registration.  For summer session and fall semester 2013, registration will open on March 18, 2013.  

New Students

New students accepted under general admission will register on campus after meeting with an advisor.  For more information on new student registration, click here.

Limited Enrollment

New students registering through Limited Enrollment may register in person, by mail, or by fax  during the open registration period only. After their first term, Limited Enrollment students may register online but not until the start of the open registration period.
