The Testing Center administers a variety of testing services to prospective and current students.

Placement Testing

Placement tests measure your readiness to work at the college level. Your test scores determine what English and mathematics courses you may register for. Other courses may also have required or recommended placement levels. Prerequisite courses or placement levels are listed at the end of the course description for classes that have these requirements. For sample questions, practice exams in mathematics, and information about the Accuplacer assessment model, visit Placement Testing.

Accuplacer testing now available - by appointment - at South of the River Education Center in Burnsville. For more information, contact Stephanie Atkinson mail icon at 952-703-3128.

Proctor Testing

If you need to take an exam required as part of your coursework at another college or agency, the Testing Center can administer the exam in a supervised environment. There is a fee for this service. Visit Proctor Testing.

Make-up Testing

Your Inver Hills instructor may permit you to take a test you missed in class (prior arrangement or permission of instructor is always required). The test can be administered at the Testing Center. Visit Make-up Testing.

GED Testing

Adults who did not complete high school may prove graduation equivalency through GED testing. The Testing Center at Inver Hills is an approved GED testing agency. Visit GED Testing.

CLEP Testing

The College-Level Examination Program is a nationally recognized service operated through the College Board that permits students to earn credit for previous learning and general knowledge. Visit CLEP Testing.
