In College

In partnership with high schools, In College provides the ideal introduction to college life while letting you complete your general education requirements earlier.

About In College:

• Students stay in their own high schools and visit Inver Hills for special activities
• Tuition, textbooks, equipment, and transportation for on-campus field trips are provided by the high school
• Courses are delivered mainly by high school teachers who are mentored by college instructors and receive professional development

All courses in this program are guaranteed to be accepted at all of Minnesota State Colleges and Universities and many of the state's private colleges and universities. Unlike AP, In College students will receive a college grade on a college transcript.

How do students qualify for In College?

To qualify for In College classes, students need to score 78+ on the Accuplacer or 250+ on the Next Generation reading test OR meet criteria by multiple measures. Students can also successfully complete Inver Prep coursework with a grade of C or above.
