Associate of Arts - A.A.

The A.A. degree is our top transfer degree and has a few variations:

• An A.A. Transfer Pathway Degree, focusing on one subject area
• An A.A. with Emphasis, focusing on one subject area
• A well-rounded general degree that is excellent for transferring to a four-year program
  • The Minnesota Transfer Curriculum (MnTC) is a 40-credit liberal arts education that transfers to all Minnesota State universities, the University of Minnesota, and many additional colleges.

Associate of Science - A.S.

The A.S. degree is perfect if you are looking for a balance between a liberal arts education and learning specific skills for your future career. The A.S.:

• Provides credentials for a specific career
• Prepares you for transfer to a four-year school

Transfer Pathway - A.A. or A.S.

Finish your Transfer Pathway degree at Inver Hills, then transfer as a junior into one of the seven Minnesota State universities, the University of Minnesota, and many other four-year colleges and universities.

Associate of Applied Science - A.A.S.

The A.A.S. is made to order if you wish to successfully launch your career as soon as possible.

This degree is available for these high-demand programs:

• I.T.
• Business

Half of your credits will come from coursework in your program area; one-third will come from general education and liberal arts coursework. The balance of credits will come from either your program area or general education, depending on the specific major you choose.

Although the A.A.S. degree is not designed for transfer to a four-year school, your general education and liberal arts courses typically do transfer; some of your career-oriented courses may also transfer to specific majors at certain schools.

Associate of Fine Arts - A.F.A.

Designed for transfer, our A.F.A. degree allows you to establish yourself in one of three fundamental artistic pursuits:
