Step 2: Submit your supplemental application documents

These official documents are required in addition to your online application. Missing or improper documents will prevent your application from moving forward in the admission process and/or may prohibit your acceptance. Once your application is complete, your application will be reviewed and you will receive an Admission decision.

All official documents can be submitted via the website by clicking the button below.

NOTE: Any documents submitted with the application become the property of Inver Hills Community College and will not be returned.

Proof of high school/secondary education completion

All applicants must provide proof of high school/secondary education completion. Any document submitted must be in English. We will accept transcripts, completion certificate/diploma, or graduation exam scores.

Proof of English Language proficiency

You must meet or exceed Inver Hills’ English language proficiency requirement by providing official proof/test results. If your home country is on this English Waiver List, then you DO NOT need to provide proof of English Language Proficiency.

TOEFL: Minimum score of 500 (paper test) or 61 (iBT); IHCC TOEFL code is 6290.
IELTS: Minimum score of a 5.5.
ELS Language Center: Completion of Level 109 (intensive) at an ELS Center.
Global Language Institute: Completion of Mastering or Accelerated Level.
English Composition course completion: Completion of a college-level English composition course at an accredited college or university within the United States with a letter grade of a “C” or higher.
Duolingo: Minimum overall score of 88
ACCUPLACER assessment: College-level placement across all three areas of the free ACCUPLACER examination; must connect with Admissions office directly to discuss this option

Foreign transcript evaluation

If applicable/optional, please submit an official transcript credential evaluation of all your foreign post-secondary transcripts. We accept evaluations from SpanTran, WES, or ECE. Official evaluations will be sent directly from the translation service company to Inver Hills.

F-1 Transfer students

If you are a transfer student (already possess an F-1 visa and currently studying in the U.S.), you will need to provide the “Transfer Eligibility Form” to your current school/international student advisor. From there, your current advisor will need to fill out this form and return to the Admissions Office by email to: admissions@inverhills.edu.
