Step 5: Complete Inver Hills enrollment steps

Please talk with your admissions advisor about what your options are for completing the required placement tests for math and English. We use Accuplacer, and it is a FREE, proctored test that determines what math and English courses you are ready for.

Information about completing the new student orientation will be in your acceptance packet. Once you’ve completed your new student orientation (and arrive in Minnesota prior to the start of the term), you will set up an appointment to meet with an Academic Advisor, to register for classes and discuss important information pertaining to being an F-1 student at Inver Hills.

Your admissions advisor will connect you with one of our academic advisors who work specifically with international (F-1 visa) students. From there you will set up an appointment to meet with them for course registration and payment, paying for the health insurance policy, getting your student photo ID, and other important new-student information and tasks. You will want to notify both your admissions and academic advisors of when your arrival date (if currently outside of the country) will be.
