Testing Center

How to schedule and prepare for a test.

  • Appointments must be scheduled in advance | Call us or email us
  • Preferred time slots are 9 a.m. or 1 p.m.
    • Proctoring outside of those time slots by request only, pending availability

Submit Your Transcripts

Unofficial high school transcripts are helpful for assessment placement purposes and sometimes for financial aid purposes. If you haven't done so already:

Initial Course Placement - ACCUPLACER testing and exemptions

TEAS testing - Required for nursing applicants

CLEP testing - Earn credit through testing

Testing Room Rules

  • All materials disallowed by the test directions should be left outside the testing room.
  • No food or drink is allowed in the testing room.
  • Cheating is prohibited. If you are caught cheating: your test will be confiscated, you will be asked to leave the testing room, and your instructor will be notified.
  • Notify Testing Center staff if you need to use the restroom; no breaks are allowed for lunch; phone calls may be made only in an emergency.
  • If your test has a time limit, you are responsible to watch the time and return the test to Testing Center staff on schedule.
  • You are not allowed to leave the testing room with the test or test-related materials.

For GED and CLEP testing:

  • A visual inspection of your eyeglasses and pockets will be performed. All pockets must be empty going into the testing room.
  • No hats are allowed during testing.

ADA Accommodations

If you wish to use an approved accommodation for testing in the Testing Center, you must make arrangements with your instructor in advance and have the test sent to the center. You will need your accommodations, e.g., a reader, scribe, private room or extra time, set up with Accessibility Resources in advance.

Make-up Testing

If you wish to take a make-up test in the Testing Center, you must make arrangements with your instructor in advance to have the test sent to the center. If you need special accommodations, e.g., a reader, scribe, private room or extra time, please contact Accessibility Resources at 651-450-3628.

If you are a current student who needs to take a faculty-approved quiz/test shorter than 2 hours in duration and need to begin after the "start" times listed to the left, please call the testing center at 651-450-3650 or email TestingCenter@inverhills.edu.

Proctoring for Other Colleges

Minnesota State Colleges and Universities

Please call the Testing Center at 651-450-3650 to make sure your testing information has been received. Please call at least 24 hours in advance and have your class or course information available. If you need special accommodations, e.g., a reader, scribe or extra time, please email Accessibility Resources or call 651-450-3628.

A processing fee of $35 per test must be paid in exact-change cash or check at the time of your test. There is no fee if you are testing through a Minnesota State institution.

Non-Minnesota State Institutions

Proctoring is not being offered at this time.
