GED Testing

In case you need to reschedule your test, you MUST reschedule online through your account on the GED Testing Service prior to midnight the day prior to test date. The Testing Center cannot reschedule your test for you. If you fail to reschedule, you will forfeit the fees you paid.

• You will be seated in a designated testing room.
• You will take your GED test on a computer.
• The Testing Center will provide erasable note boards, and markers.
• No personal items or materials are allowed in the testing room. A limited number of small lockers are available to store your personal items, so please plan accordingly. No food or drink is allowed in the testing room.
• You determine the number of tests you take in one day when you register online and pay for testing.
• You must complete a test before leaving the testing room; no breaks are allowed during an individual test unless the test has a built in break.
• Talking is not allowed during the exam except with the test proctor. If you are discovered talking or cheating during a test, you will surrender your test and be permanently dismissed from the Inver Hills Testing Center and reported to the Minnesota Department of Education GED Office.

All GED tests are timed. You will be allotted a specific amount of time to take each test. However, you are able to finish a test early, and you will begin your next exam if scheduling multiple test together. Otherwise you are allowed to come out of the testing room and check out.
